چکیده

Deep learning methods have excellent prospects for application in wave forecasting research. This study employed the convolutional LSTM (ConvLSTM) algorithm to predict South China Sea (SCS) significant height (SWH). Three prediction models were established investigate influences of setting different parameters and using multiple training data on effects. Compared with SWH from China–France Ocean Satellite (CFOSAT), WAVEWATCH III (WWIII) pacific islands ocean observing system are accurate enough be used as ConvLSTM-based model. Model A was preliminarily by only WWIII data, 20 sensitivity experiments carried out parameter settings effect A. The experimental results showed that has best when three years hourly input data. With same performance A, B C also more wind shear velocity When making a 24-h forecast, compared root mean square error (RMSE) is decreased 17.6%, correlation coefficient (CC) increased 2.90%, absolute percentage (MAPE) reduced 12.2%. SWH, velocity, direction RMSE 19.0%, CC 2.65%, MAPE 14.8%. As model mainly rely All show greater nearshore area than deep SCS during period typhoon transit without typhoon. Considering wind, will improve prediction.

Status of Rocks in the Law of the Sea with Relying on the South China Sea Arbitration Award

Abstract Islands and rocks are entitled different maritime zones in international law of the sea. Article 121(3) allocated to rocks has articulated briefly and without indicating any definitions or characters of this feature. Paragraph 3 provided two conditions for rocks in order to create exclusive economic zone and continental shelf zone. The South China Sea tribunal has interpreted this pa...

Internal Wave Energy Budget Studies in the South China Sea

We are focused on understanding small-scale processes that influence the ocean’s thermodynamic and dynamic properties on the sub-mesoscale (scales less than 10 km). This includes the role of turbulence in modifying the upper ocean temperature and density structure. In the South China Sea, largeamplitude, nonlinear waves force turbulence in the seasonally variable continental shelf region. New o...

Significant changes in pelagic fish stocks of Clupeonella spp. in the south Caspian Sea

The present study was carried out during 2006-2007 along the southern Caspian Sea. The species composition showed that the common kilka, Clupeonella cultriventris caspia, is dominant species with 89% and then anchovy, C. engrauliformis, has shown only 8.7% while it was already dominant species in the past decades. The overall results indicated that common kilka was replaced with anchovy kilka ...
